Welcome to Room 14's online area.
This is an online class for my Yr 5 and 6 students and a portal for my maths class also.
 To the left are links to the main learning areas of reading,writing and maths, where you can revisit, practice and learn concepts taught in class. To the right are the media galleries where you can  view photographs and video of what we are doing in class.  Below is the class blog, where you can check out what we have been up to.

Term 1 - Week 1
We started our unit on Measurement this week by coming up with our own definition and comparing it to the dictionary. We think our definition is much better. Check it out.

One week to go
Welcome back to school everyone and what an exciting term 1 we have in store.
Not only will the children be contributing to the decisions made regarding our focus 'Topic' this term but they will also be trialling an E-portfolio instead of an Paper-folio. This will mean children will take more control in both their learning and assessment, which is great.
Also this term we have EOTC week - when we get to go on adventures in our community - and athletics day. So I'm sure we'll be very busy.
On that note remember that EOTC needs to be paid quickly or a payment plan arranged with the office. Stationary will be needed by week 2. Children will not of course require the 40 pocket folder this year that was for their assessment, so if you have already purchased it in the pack I apologise.
