Last term Room 2 entered the Feet First Picture Book Competition. They had to write and illustrate a book about active travel. Their book "Lucky Pancake" was chosen from over 50 entries, from all over New Zealand.

Their prize includes

• A day workshop with editor/author Don Long
• Two days workshopping with illustrator Ali Teo
• A published copy of the book for every family in the school
• A published copy for every school in New Zealand
• A book launch party at school.
