Search Engines
These links have been put here specifically for Primary aged children who are needing to research the web for particular information. They have been chosen because they are designed to provide more child friendly, child made, or child levelled readability web links. We encourage teachers and parents of younger children (under 10 years) to use these engines to teach children web surfing and research skills as opposed to straight Google.
Cybersleuths - Yr4+  Dib Dab Doo - Yr 4+uses modified google engine
 

Kidsites - has simplier interface, larger font for able juniors  Kid Rex - Yr 4+ uses a modified google engine. 
   
Kids Click - Yr 3/4+ Kids Konnect - yr 3/4+ simple topic pages with further links off each one.
   
Searchasaurus - pictoral search engine, can choose lexile reading level for search.
