Reasons for standing for election: My son is seven years old (year 3 at Otonga) and I have two daughters, one aged 3 years and the other aged 3 weeks. As a result I will have at least one child attending Otonga School for the next 10 years or so, meaning I will have a long term investment in what happens at Otonga School. I am a Police Officer currently working as an investigator on the Rotorua child protection team. I believe that through my line of work believe I can bring a different understanding, view and approach to many situations involving the children of Otonga School. I believe I have a good set of values and strong moral compass, and want the best for all children at the school.
