Enviro School

Otonga School joined the national Enviroschools programme in June 2008. We achieved the Bronze Enviroschool standard in 2011. 

Education for Sustainability themes are included in our learning and teachers use our environment as the third teacher.

These range from individual responsibility for recycling, to class worm farms and litter areas, school composting , community stream and lake studies and being aware of the natural world that surrounds us. 
We received a silver medal in 2015.
