Rippa Rugby
Bay of Plenty Rugby Union will be running modules for Rippa year 1-2 teams and Rip year 3-4 and year 5-6 teams in term 1. These are mixed teams of girls and boys.
Term 1 2022- Rippa/RIP Modules:
Venue: Westbrook Fields 1 & 2
Week 1: Wednesday 16 March
Week 2: Wednesday 23 March
Week 3: Wednesday 30 March
Week 4: Wednesday 6 April
Week 5: (Finals) Wednesday 13 April
Where: Westbrook fields
Cost: $10 per player
Squad Size:
Years 1-2 = 8-10 players 5 on the pitch of which at least one must be a girl.
Years 3+ = 10-12 players 7 on the pitch
Registrations Close: Friday 25th February 2022
You will need to be able to take and pick up your child.
Please note: RIPPA/RIP Rugby is being delivered as a "My Vaccine Pass Gathering".
- My Vaccine Passes (MVP's) are required for all persons 12 years and 3 months old or over to be INSIDE the My Vaccine Pass Designated Areas (MVPDA's). This includes all players, team coaches, team managers and spectators.
- Children 11 and under do NOT need to be vaccinated to participate.
- All Coaches, Team Managers and Referees 12 yrs and 3 months old or over need to be vaccinated to be involved in RIPPA.
- MVPDA's include all of the grassed areas on the sides of the fields. (See map above). The three car parking areas are located OUTSIDE the MVPDA's.
- The Gathering limits for each gathering is 100 people per round. This includes the players on the field and the supporters on the side of the field.
We will also need coaches to take teams or parents will just have to take the teams on the days. Anyone wishing to coach there will be a coaching course on Wednesday 9th March 2022 please click here to register. Once again, this year we are using KINDO for Sports registrations and payments.
Registrations can be completed online through Kindo. Kindo accepts Debit and Credit cards, or you can access bank details for standard internet or phone banking (see “top up account” once logged in). Details on how to register and pay using Kindo are overleaf on page 2 (please turn over).
As with all online transactions we recommend you take appropriate measures to keep your personal banking information secure and within your bank’s online safety & security requirements.
