Solar Energy

Otonga Road Primary School and Genesis Energy proudly launched the Schoolgen Programme on the 25th May 2016. 

Otonga Road Primary School is the first Schoolgen School in Rotorua, and the largest solar array in the Schoolgen Programme with a total of 120 photovoltaic panels.

The solar panel arrays are spread across 4 roofs. There are 6 single phase inverters giving a total capacity of 30 kilowatts.
